    There are many things that factor in to weight loss, but a lot just has to do with #’s. That will put most of you at a 800 calorie deficit and you will be losing weight!  Woot Woot!

    Can I Use Isagenix If I Have High Blood Pressure or Type 2 Diabetes 

    The most important thing to be aware of if you have type 2 diabetes and or  high blood pressure, is that both can be avoided!  By leading a healthy lifestyle that includes a diet low in fat and calories, as well as physical activity can go a long way in reducing your chances of developing diabetes and high blood pressure.

    The Looming Diabetic Disaster 

    Sometimes it takes only a few words to have a major impact on a conversation, e.g. the health of the population of the United States.  I was struck by the brevity of a recent article from Reuters (Diabetes to Double or Triple in U.S. by 2050: Government, http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE69L21Y20101022, October 22, 2010).  The title leapt off the page and said almost as much as the entire article.  The piece presented grim facts concerning the current trends of health and diet in the United States.  If we continue down our current path of inactivity and poor eating habits it is predicted that the occurrence of Diabetes will escalate from its current level of approximately 1 in 10 adults to as high as 1 in 3 by 2050.  Considering the fact that both Tamara and I have a history of Diabetes in our family, this is one of the reasons we have made Isagenix® such a significant part of our lives and the lives of our children.  Diabetes is the gift that keeps on giving.  Once you have it, you have it for life.  In some instances it can be controlled, but it will not go away once you have it.

    Chelation and Blood sugar question Answered by John Anderson Founder of Isagenix 

    Chelation is done in several ways;
    IV targeting the blood directly and in nutrition, using botanicals and types and or forms of ions attracting metals etc for collection and elimination from the body.

    An example of this is Di-Benzo-Alpha-Pyrones, a small molecules (a group of atoms bonded together, representing the smallest fundamental unit of a chemical compound that can take part in a chemical reaction), that can attract and collect heavy metals from blood, then causing chelation to occur. This is a component of Shilajit in the Ionix Supreme.

    Disglycemic tendencies;
    (abnormal blood sugar regula- tion). Disglycemia can show up as an elevated fasting blood sugar (above 100) or an abnormal rise in blood sugar after ingesting something sweet (higher than 150 after a meal). Disglycemic blood sugar may indicate a tendency toward diabetes or insulin resistance.

    This may be caused by being over weight, but can be controlled in this case by reducing the body fat in a safe and nutritionally supported way.

    Normally, the shakes should be cut in 1/2 servings more often. This will spread out the carbs hitting the system all at once.

    What does the formulator of the Isagenix Products Snack on? 

    “If you must cheat, choose healthy low-calorie foods like nuts, small salads and vegetables.”

    That being said,

    Here’s the Deal,

    Cleansing is done for several reasons, to rid your body of toxins and also to loose weight.
    Both require proper cleansing instructions and doing it correct, this will insure success.

    Over the years, everyone think they are experts and have changed the original cleansing. This has lowered the the success rate, average weight loss, and slowed the system.

    Eating foods on cleanse days is some fabricated crutch to appease cheaters and sugar addicts. Someone started the almond thing and has caused a rash of foods including eggs, salad, nuts, yogurt, chewing gum, vegetables, fruits, to be added as an “OK” thing to do.

    Diabetes and sleep loss? Can this affect blood sugar? 

    A member reported her friend has diabetes and can not sleet at night.

    Lack of sleep can be a major cause of high blood sugar in the morning, sounds like she may be kicking and tossing. High levels cause leg aching and just add to restless nights. Sleep apnea is very devastating to diabetics. There is a morning high sugar problem called twilight, this is when a diabetic wakes up every morning with high blood sugar for no reason. The cause, “Lack of Sleep”.

    The liver does produce glucose and adds to the problem if insulin medication is not taken.

    Your friend needs an evaluation from a qualified specialist now!
    There is no way to know the history without record keeping and monitoring levels, food/carbohydrate consumption, medications, collectively. This is the responsibility of both the diabetic and the Doctor.

    All Diabetics are not created equal!
    Because blood levels and treatment are subject to each individual, there is no way to set one program up to work for every diabetics needs.

    There are ways to win the battle and using “nutrition” is one of them. A diabetic need to become aware of controlling their blood sugar levels. and how to use their medications first.
    Then it’s very easy to make the necessary adjustments to live healthy and control and minimize the damaging affect of Diabetes.
