Toxin Alert: Innocuous items in the home expose us to dangerous chemicals

According to Green America Quarterly, “there are more than 80,000 chemicals used in consumer products and manufacturing in the US, and more than 2,000 new chemicals are introduced each year. Only about 200 have been tested for safety.” As a young mother I was concerned about chemicals even in pacifiers. So, I did not use them with my daughter. Nearly 25 years ago when my daughter was born I was concerned that even pacifiers contained chemicals. I thank my intuition for making the decision to not use them. Now nearly 25 years later, reports are becoming available to the public about the health hazards of once accepted everyday chemicals for cleaning, and items found in the home . Items which would be considered innocuous such as cosmetics, household cleaners, stain resistant clothes, and furniture are all being labeled as contributing to this problem. Do your research and you will find out that more and more, there is research which links the relationship between this threat and a whole host of chronic diseases. In time it will become more understood.

Undenatured Whey Protein Shakes important part of cleansing and weight loss

“Cleansing” is a hot topic now in the U.S. especially where I live in Colorado. So in vogue now, that it can cause one to just do nothing because of the daunting task to find a safe, reliable, and affordable system.

There are many products and companies touting that they have the magic juice or ingredient to “cleanse” our body. However, data supports the importance of having a full spectrum nutritional intake to support the body in cleansing using both phase one and phase two pathways.

The body has 2 main pathways of detoxification called phase one and phase two. Thus, it is important to support our bodies with a mulititude of ingredients so it utilizes both pathways and not over burden any of our bodies natural cleansing abilities. No single ingredient or process can achieve this goal.

One very important component of cleansing to look for is the quality of protein one takes. Because Amino acids in protein shakes support the phase two process it is vital to purchase a high quality protein shake that is has a complete amino acid profile and is highly bioavailable.

Independent testing shows that bioactive ingredients other than whey proteins are important components in a meal replacement shake. Some are Cysteine, and amino peptide factors and growth factors. Can I Use Isagenix Products if I am Pregnant or Breastfeeding?

Expectant mothers have unique nutritional needs.

Pregnancy is a delicate time for both mother and child. As you know, there’s a lot going on in your growing belly and staying well nourished is critical for normal fetal development and maternal health.

Pregnancy

A dietary plan during pregnancy should best suit individual needs. For this reason, Isagenix recommends an expectant mother review diet and any products with her doctor closely. A quality, physician-prescribed prenatal supplement can also help fill in nutritional gaps. (For general dietary and supplement advice during pregnancy, see USDA MyPyramid Plan for Moms.)

An expectant mother may take advantage of Isagenix food products—such as IsaLean Shakes, Bars, SlimCakes—however, she should do so only with prior approval from her personal doctor or nutritionist. I never would have thought that stopping by a kiosk at a mall in Fort Collins, CO to win a bottle of an Aloe based body cleanse would change my life. My results on the cleanse were so surprising that I had to look further into who else was having such wonderful results.
