According to Green America Quarterly, “there are more than 80,000 chemicals used in consumer products and manufacturing in the US, and more than 2,000 new chemicals are introduced each year. Only about 200 have been tested for safety.” As a young mother I was concerned about chemicals even in pacifiers. So, I did not use them with my daughter. Nearly 25 years ago when my daughter was born I was concerned that even pacifiers contained chemicals. I thank my intuition for making the decision to not use them. Now nearly 25 years later, reports are becoming available to the public about the health hazards of once accepted everyday chemicals for cleaning, and items found in the home . Items which would be considered innocuous such as cosmetics, household cleaners, stain resistant clothes, and furniture are all being labeled as contributing to this problem. Do your research and you will find out that more and more, there is research which links the relationship between this threat and a whole host of chronic diseases. In time it will become more understood.

Fortunately there are precautions we can take to help minimize the risk of these invisible threats. This video exposes some everyday household items and how despite doing our best to eat healthy we can do more.

When I first heard about Isagenix I was a skeptic. I wanted to know, “Does Isagenix work?” In truth, I though Isagenix was a scam. I considered myself a healthy eater and worked out regularly, but had tried everything and just could not loose those extra 10 – 20 pounds. I really believed it was not possible for me. However, I had this neighbor and every Sunday I would see her at church and every Sunday she seemed to be shrinking. She had amazing Isagenix results. I was sooooo jealous. I asked her what she was doing. She said Isagenix, but because I was a skeptic (scaredy cat) I didn’t even check it out until 5 months had past. It starts off by telling the true story of an extruck driver who was searching for a job. “While he searched for another job, Lapp began working alongside his wife, Lynne, in a business based in their Temecula home, selling nutritional supplements made by the direct-sales company Isagenix. Nearly two years later and with no construction job in sight, Lapp says a one-time sideline has become the couple’s bread and butter.

This story is not uncommon in Direct Sales. In fact, direct sales companies are “seeing their sales forces rapidly expand as the nation’s unemployment rate soars to nearly 9% and those who lost jobs and nest eggs look for new ways to make money.”

“We’re recession-resistant in the sense that more people come to us during economic hard times for supplemental income or replacement of a lost job,” says Neil Offen, president of the Direct Selling Association, the trade group that represents the largest U.S. direct sales companies.

“Right now, our direct-selling opportunity is really the No. 1 product that we have to sell,” says Geralyn Breig, president of Avon North America.

The Nutritional Cleansing Company, Isagenix, based in Chandler, AZ says, “its sales force was up 30% in March from a year before.” “I truly believe this has readjusted people’s thinking,” says Kathy Coover, executive vice president and co-founder of Isagenix. “With this economy, people can’t take their jobs for granted anymore.
