This weeks stats: The # 15 Team Team in the IsaDerby already has 203 points. The #1 Team has 458!!!!
The #5 Top Individual has 120 points and the Top Individual Point Earner has 163!!!
This weeks contest: Enroll at least 3 New Associate with $19 Membership that order at least 100 in volume at the time of enrollment this week and next week and your name will go in to a drawing for a Free Two Night Stay at Sheraton for the News Kick Off in Phoenix AZ in January!!!
This weeks goal: That contest really goes right along with this weeks TEAM GOAL. There are ONLY 68 Days left in the IsaDerby II Contest. To get to the goal of 100 points each most of you will have to get at least 1 point per day. It’s scary but it isdoable. Simply put, you will all have to improve your results.
One way is to develop our Priorities. For example: I have a note that says, “I Am The One” posted above my computer in the kitchen. It’s close to the phone too. Whenever I am about to ‘goof off’ I see the note an ask myself, If “I Am The One” that is going to reach Executive this year, If I Am The One that is going to double her income this year, If I Am That One, what should I do now? What would The One be doing now? (More on Developing Priorities below.)
What we need to do this week: To reach this weeks goal it will take each of you signing up at least 3-4 people with 9 Day Programs or at least 1-2 with 30 Day Programs.
This week on the IsaDerby Call the topic of inspiration and motivation was “Plan Ahead!”
Isagenix has put together the Isagenix day planner to fit all your needs in 2011 and provide you with insider information before anyone else, including upcoming events for the year, follow-up reminders, 30-day action plans and much more. To earn this special planner, all you have to do is participate in our Isagenix Day Planner promotion during the months of October, November and December and you’ll get the special planner in January 2011. Here’s how it works:
Enroll four new Associates in October, November and December or Rank advance at least one personally-enrolled team member to Consultant all three months or, mix and match the two requirements. Enroll four new Associates one month, help your team member advance in rank the other two months and you’re on your way to earning this planner.
One team did Plan Ahead and they jumped from no where in to second place in the IsaDerby this week! They spent a lot of time in the beginning planning, setting up trade shows, meetings and other opportunities to ‘get in front a lot of people’. Here’s what they said: ”If you want to make a lot of money, talk to a lot of people.” ”If you want to make no money, talk to nobody.”
Who will you talk to this week?

A lot has been said about prioritizing. We all know that we’re expected to focus on the most important, time-sensitive tasks and only then attend to other, less important tasks if there’s time left over. BUT??? What is important? In the absence of a Boss, Specific Hours, Definite Deadlines, it’s hard to know what should we really start with?
1. First, there are those items that do have a definite deadline (a letter announcing next month’s party, a presentation that you have committed to and of course daily emails and calls) which we just can’t postpone. These should be taken care of “right now” or we will simply miss the train. With no other choice in hand, we usually rank these at the top of our priority list.
2. Then, we have the paperwork. This includes reviewing and following up with leads and sign ups, searching for new events and posting on the internet. These tasks often take lots of time and do not offer immediate results. So, we often find ourselves pushing these tasks back to the bottom of the priority list but at the same time, feeling extremely guilty about the ever-growing pile or reminders that are getting harder and harder to ignore.
3. Last, among the many items on our “to do” list, there are a few tasks that we actually feel passionate about: For most of us there’s the kids, the hubby, school stuff, housework, working out and even real jobs that all come before our Isagenix Business. But there are also those things that we are passionate about like an article we’re excited to write, a presentation for which we have an exceptionally creative idea, spending time connecting with particularly fun or exciting clients or business partners or brainstorming and/or spending time on personal growth. The problem is that these items are not always considered “high priority” hence, we feel at fault spending time on them now and find ourselves putting them aside in favor of the due-today call backs or the invites to Doctors we had promised ourselves to work on and distribute this last week.
So What Does Our To Do List Look Like?
First, the time sensitive tasks, then the must-do admin work and last, the less-urgent, more enjoyable items. RIGHT????Guess what? If you choose (very logically) to prioritize your “to do” list in this order, you will probably end up with very little efficiency and one big frustration. Very quickly, you will find yourself updating your status on LinkedIn / Facebook, browsing the web or even calling your mother-in-law: anything to avoid the dull day ahead of you. Your low motivation and lack of investment in any of these tasks will translate into mediocrity at best.
Prioritize with your heart and start with the tasks you’re most passionate about!
I know it sounds like a promotional slogan for an irresponsible decision-making process (have some faith in me, will you?) but there are some pretty sound arguments to following your heart.
First, remind yourself the reason why you are working your Isagenix business. You wanted to make a living, get paid more, have some free time AND enjoy what you do! Write the specifics down and post it where you can see it. This goal should guide and inspire your every career-related decision.
Now, if you start your day with a task you enjoy, not only will you be more energized and motivated for the rest of the day, but you will probably maximize your performance and the successful accomplishment of all your daily tasks. Imagine yourself as a kid, running outside to play when that was exactly what you’ve been waiting for all afternoon.
Now, imagine being sent out to play “because mom needs some quiet time.” How invested were you in that playtime? In other words, working on that presentation just when you feel a great idea popping up in your mind and you’re all eager and steamy about it is nothing like working on the same presentation when the presentation day is approaching. Furthermore, by postponing your “passion” to later in the day /week, you might lose momentum and either forget your brilliant idea altogether or approach it without enthusiasm, which is almost as bad as letting it go.
So, here’s the plan: Bribe yourself to complete some “must-do” work with every fun work you get to do. Just like you “bribe” kids to eat some veggies with their pizza. Give your self an allotted amount of time to do the fun task and then the same allotted time to do the not so fun task. In other words, you kick-off the day with something you enjoy doing but make sure to follow with some other essential work so you can still complete all your tasks on time.
Overall, we are probably looking at a similar balance of enjoyable vs. not-so-fun workload. The difference is in how we prioritize our tasks to keep ourselves motivated, enthusiastic and efficient when approaching each one of them.
We are so blessed!
We are in a business where it all really comes down to following our hearts.
Help others first and the rest will follow.
