How the Have It All Mom Can Get It All Done
As a “mom-trepreneur”, I’, always on the go. You might find me in the sandbox or down at the part. I might be volunteer with kindergarten reading or coach the itty bitties at swim team. If it’s Saturday I’m probly packing oranges and water for the soccer game, or even making flower bombs for Scouts.
With three very energetic little boys, where’s always something we off doing. Something I may have missed if I had a real Job.
Our busy schedule also gives me an opportunity to connect and share Isagenix® with other families and friends.
It’s an amazing lifestyle, but trying to balance a thriving business and busy and meaningful how life can get a little crazy.
Here’s some tips from Isagenix that I would like to pass on to you, the Have it all Mom Who’s Getting it all Done.
- Create a Schedule…and Stick to It! Find balance by simply committing to spend time with your family during set hours. For instance, if both your husband and the kids are home at 4 p.m. and bedtime is 8 p.m., don’t answer the phone during that time. Stay present with your family and make your calls after the kids are in bed, while they are at school or napping.
- Say “No” to Guilt. Don’t feel guilty about working your business. You’re helping others and providing for your family. Plus, you’re scheduling time to make sure that your family is not left out of the equation.
- Stay Healthy. To help your business succeed and keep you and your family energized, remember to take your Isagenix products daily. By being a “product of the product” and maintaining a healthy family, you’ll be setting an example and keeping the sniffles at bay, too.
- Don’t Compare Yourself to Others (Especially Those Without Kiddos). When you’re working your Isagenix business, it’s important to just do what you can do and not get down on yourself by comparing yourself to other Associates’ progress. Just because someone you know made it to 1-Star Golden Circle in a short amount of time doesn’t mean that it will work exactly that way for you. Work on your own timeframe and set goals without worrying about others’ goals.
- Get Everyone On Board. Consider having a family meeting so everyone can discuss the schedule moving forward and the goals you’re working toward. That way, no one feels resentful, and everyone knows that when you’re on the phone during the designated time that it’s business time.
- Make Time For Yourself. You can’t take care of others and have a well to draw from if you’re dry yourself. Take 30 minutes every day to get your exercise in or do activities regularly that are just for you. Try adding the conference calls to your iPod through IsagenixPodcast.com so you can listen to them while you work out!
- Take Advantage of Technology. You don’t have to leave home in order to have a successful Isagenix business. Get familiar with your Back Office and utilize resources such as the Webinars in the Library, SixFigureMakers.com and Facebook to train your new Associates on how to share Isagenix and the opportunity. Keep your list of names fresh with people you can call. This will ensure that if you want to limit your time away, you can do that.
- Connect Casually While On-the-Go. Whether you’re at the local grocery store, at a meet-the-teacher meeting, or on a play date with your kids, look for opportunities while you’re out with your children to share how Isagenix can impact people’s health and wealth. When people talk about the state of the economy, talk about how you’re not participating in the recession. Share your story!
- Be Flexible. Things don’t always run smoothly and things come up with your business and your family. Set your priorities and know what’s “non-negotiable” for scheduling a business activities. If one day doesn’t go well, just be patient and try to do better the next day.
- Plan Isagenix Play Dates. Know another “IsaMom” who lives nearby? Have her bring over the kids and they can play together while you work the business! It’s a great way to establish relationships and make it even easier to learn from one another.
