What Does Ionic Mean? Ionic Minerals vs Elemental Minerals in Isagenix

Minerals are not all created equal, in-fact minerals in certain forms can cause trapped minerals to stay in your body. Minerals can be very hard to absorb and be used by your body if they are not sized and structured correctly.

The source is very important when choosing a mineral to consume. For example;
I prefer to take Calcium Lactate-gluconate rather than something like crushed oyster shells. Oyster shells are for an oyster to live in, not to eat. By crushing it’s home and eating it will only cause havoc in humans because the calcium particle size is too large to be used.

Here is a small fraction of information on minerals;

IONIC;
Many companies use this term to lure in users of their products, “BUZZ WORDS”. I have seen this many times where a formulator will add a variety of minerals in liquid, add a few herbs, some exotic juice, a little flavor, say a few magic words, and hence, AN IONIC PRODUCT HAS BEEN CREATED!
Far from the truth, heres why;

Understanding Minerals;

A “colloid” is a type of chemical mixture where one substance (a mineral) is dispersed evenly throughout another. The particles of the dispersed substance are only suspended in the mixture, unlike a solution, where they are completely dissolved within. This occurs because the particles in a colloid are larger than in a solution – small enough to be dispersed evenly and maintain a homogenous appearance, but large enough to scatter light and not dissolve. Because of this dispersal, some colloids have the appearance of solutions. A colloidal system consists of two separate phases: a dispersed phase (or internal phase) and a continuous phase (or dispersion medium). A colloidal system may be solid, liquid, or gaseous.
Many familiar substances are colloids, as well as naturally occurring colloids, modern chemical process industries utilise high shear mixing technology to create novel colloids. Many people drink them all the time.

A colloid mineral will refract light by shining a flashlight through it. Some liquid colloids are hard to detect, yet, still a “Colloidal Mineral. Colloidal minerals can be used by the human body but may only be absorbed about 10% of the total elemental volume.

Coral Calcium is a good example of a colloidal mineral. It may be a great way to alkalize your water but not to drink! I have argued this subject for years with noted promoters of coral calcium and win every time! The hocus Pocus machines used to show the pH or electrical current should not sway your mine when choosing a mineral supplement. Some demonstrations may deceive you if someone shows you a probe with a light bulb lighting up in a liquid mineral. It could be some mineral like magnesium, nothing else.

Establishing the source and size of a mineral particle is important for your health. I personally believe God created the earth, our food sources, and has given us the knowledge to eat and supply our nutritional needs through food. “Let food be your Medicine, and Medicine be your food” . Our “God given” knowledge of eating for nutrition should have some disclaimers too. When humans try putting oyster shells or rocks in his/her mouth, there should be an alarm going off in your brain saying “Spit this out now”. I can’t justify eating rocks to get my daily minerals knowing the minerals contained are not yet ready to eat!

An ion is an atom or molecule where the total number of electrons is not equal to the total number of protons, giving it a net positive or negative electrical charge.
Since protons are positively charged and electrons are negatively charged, if there are more electrons than protons, the atom or molecule will be negatively charged. This is called an anion.

An ion consisting of a single atom is called a monatomic ion. If it consists of two or more atoms, it is called a polyatomic ion. Polyatomic ions containing oxygen, such as carbonate and sulfate, are called oxyanions.

If an ion contains unpaired electrons, it is called a radical ion. Just like neutral radicals, radical ions are very reactive.

Ionic bonding will occur only if the overall energy change for the reaction is favourable – when the bonded atoms have a lower energy than the free ones. The larger the resulting energy change the stronger the bond. The low electronegativity of metals and high electronegativity of non-metals means that the energy change of the reaction is most favorable when metals lose electrons and non-metals gain electrons. An ionic bond doesn’t need metal.
Pure ionic bonding is not known to exist. All ionic compounds have a degree of covalent bonding. The larger the difference in electronegativity between two atoms, the more ionic the bond. Ionic compounds conduct electricity in solution.

Your body is electrically constructed and the human operating system depends on electrolytes to light up your system to communicate. Lacking minerals will cause many health problems. If you remove all the minerals in your body, life would seize to exist. Minerals ARE “The Spark plug of Life”.

Now that you know the importance of minerals, I want to share my findings and recommendation for the best useable source known.
PLANT2 SOURCE MINERALS;
Plants have the ability to seek out and extract trace minerals from the soil and provide “Ionic” minerals, (the size minerals need to be for humans). I have preached this message for 30 years.

IsaLyte was formulated in the early 80′s using plant deposits found here in the United States. These deposits are ancient plants that have been covered and trapped by earth changes, plate tectonics, or volcanic activity. Pure un-contaminated plants loaded with God’s mineral storage program just waiting for the day we need them the most. I believe that day is here!

By processing the plant material, purifying it, and concentrating it, we now have the most unique and powerful “Ionic Mineral source known. I have used this process and shared it all over the world. This “Spark Plug of Life” contains over 70 mineral and trace minerals including some that are considered “Rare Earth Elements”.

ANOTHER SOURCE OF MINERALS;
Isolated minerals need some sort of bond or carrier to help absorb them into your body. Adding minerals and reacting them to amino acids will help make then more useable in humans and animals as well. This is called “Chelated Minerals”. Chelated minerals are not Ionic minerals.

So what does this all mean??? Perhaps, too much information!!
In my opinion, ionic minerals are the number one source of minerals. Ionic minerals are contained in our plants we eat. Isagenix has the best quality ionic mineral and trace minerals extracted from plant life known to man!

I hope this helps you understand ionic minerals v elemental minerals.
