How One Diabetic Can Use The Isagenix System
Here is an example of how one diabetic uses the Isagenix system. First, he is type II, using insulin and on a sliding scale of one unit per every 3 grams of carbohydrate consumed.
He also has a pump with a small amount being given per hour as well. Here is how it works for him;
When drinking a Shake or eating an IsaLean Bar, he calculates the amount of total carbs and does his insulin before eating or drinking his meal. This does what the body should have done automatically. By using the doctor recommended amount of insulin, he is able to eat.

There is no difference in regulating Isagenix carbohydrates as compared to the carbohydrates in food.

When reducing carbohydrates and total calories, blood sugar levels do drop. Therefore, insulin requirements may decrease too. Please follow your Doctors instructions.
